THE BENEFITS OF CHOOSING WOOL

Wool is a great regulator and provides better sleep

Wool can be worn all year round and in any weather conditions. Wool’s natural fibres wick sweat, absorbing moisture and keeping your child in the "thermal comfort zone". Studies say it gives a more restful and better sleep – music to parents’ ears!

Wool is comfortable and long lasting

Wool is soft, stretchy and leaves your child with room to move and play. Wool fibres are very durable, making the clothes long lasting, so you can pass it on from child to child. Re-use and pass it on instead of throwing it out!

Wool is machine washable and easy to maintain

Don’t worry – no need to hand wash! All our wool is machine washable. Use wool detergent and wash at 30 degrees on a low spin cycle. Always check the care label! It's important to us at hummel that we create things that last. The care label helps you to #MakeItLastLonger.

Wool is good for your child

Caring for your child also means caring for the planet. When choosing wool, you're being more environmentally friendly as the fabric is natural and recyclable. Wool is hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin.

WOOL QUALITIES

1) Wool

Wool naturally helps regulate body temperature, feels comfortable, and absorbs moisture, making it ideal to use for active babies and kids. Wool is often used as a warm base layer.

2) Wool/viscose

Wool/viscose is a luxurious mix for sensitive kids skin, as it feels extra soft. Our viscose fabric is derived from viscose fibres and doesn’t irritate the skin, which is why we use viscose on the inside of clothes and wool on the outside. This mix has no effect on the many good qualities of wool for the skin.

3) Wool/Cotton

This mix feels thicker than wool/viscose, but just as soft and light to have on. Cotton, just like wool, naturally has many good qualities – especially its durability. With wool/cotton clothes, you don't have to dress your child in many layers, as this mix works well on its own as a single layer.
